I read too much...

So, the other day I was thinking "its time to learn something new". lol

I started reading about how bad sugar is for you... and just as I was figuring out this whole high altitude baking problem. Then about how much better it is to grind your own flour and drinking raw milk. ugh, I'm so overwhelmed, I want to do it all!!!

We totally do the raw milk thing!! Super good. :-) And one day we'll do the wheat thing too when we can afford to get the grinder. :-) I recommend Stevia as a sugar alternative.... it's just an herb, not a chemical.

I did the raw milk thing for a while. We had to buy it from this lady with a big sticker on it that said "for animal consumption only" or something like that b/c she can't legally sell it for human consumption. Nice that I have to buy underground health food! :) And I've wanted to do the whole grinding your own flour thing too, but actually, we should be doing the sprouted wheat bread rather than flour at all if we want to be hardcore! :)

Susan-

Sprouted Wheat Bread?! I've never even heard of that... oh my. I'll have to look into that ;-)

And, here in CO you can't buy/drink raw milk unless you own the cow (and I haven't found any underground dealers.. lol). So, they have "cow shares" and you pay like $30 a month to get a gallon of milk from your cow every week! I think I'm just going to stick with Whole Foods, they have local milk thats pasteurized but non-homogenized. We don't drink a lot of it anyways.
